About the event
Judge Matt will present an overview of the Tennessee court system as a whole, as well as an overview of the federal court system, with comparisons and examples of interplay between the two. Within this will be how the courts address constitutional issues, under both the Tennessee and United States Constitutions. Also, he will address how judges are selected in both systems, and how the public can access information about individal courts, judges and their legal opinions. Judge Wilson will also answer questions to the extent he is allowed, being bound by judicial ethics rules that prevent him from giving opinions on matters that may come before him.
